In a once-joyful village consumed by busyness and stress, young Tali longs for the warmth and togetherness her family used to share during Chanukkah. As her brother Adam struggles under the pressure of his upcoming Bar Mitzvah and the rest of her family is overwhelmed by work, the holiday becomes rushed and hollow.
Through Bubbe's stories — especially the tale of the Maccabees — and a powerful lesson about family history passed down through generations, Tali begins to understand that the true miracle of Chanukkah is the love, time, and connection people choose to share.
Determined to bring the light back, she gently draws her family together through small acts of togetherness, rekindling joy, laughter, and meaning. By openly honoring each family member and inviting them to share their own light with others, Tali inspires not only her family but the whole village to rediscover the true meaning of Chanukkah: that the greatest miracle is the community and love they create together.
